I called at 6:58 am and was put on hold for 30 seconds, it was sold out by 7:00:53 !!! Of course the lady tried to give me Dec 8 for some reason but even with that mistake is was a really fast sell-out. Is someone getting this ressies in bulk, like for a travel agency or something?

Can't answer your question, but I agree! Tried to get DINNER reservations for somewhere around 5:30 pm for a party of 2 and the only thing I was offered was 5:05 pm. I called right at opening and thought a party of 2 would be EASY. WRONG! :(

I know it's a MVMCP night and I do have reservations at LTT, so I really can't complain. Just was hoping to eat dinner at the castle.

Hope you are lucky tomorrow for breakfast!

This is my guess:

Planners like disney boards
disney boards tell you all the ends and outs of getting CRT
planners also like to go during one of the best times of the year -

early DEC!!!

I figure tons of type A planners are on the phones bagging their last ressie on their lists. Crowds may be down but informed planners up, lol! IMO

A party of 2 should have been easy, hmmmm? I got a table of 4 after being on hold and you weren't on hold. Somethings not right. Sorry about not getting the castle :(

The CM said she had tables for parties of 4, but that she couldn't put a party of two at them. I didn't think that was right, but I suppose I can see Disney's point (well, just barely :p). Thanks for the sympathy. I'll still have a great time at the party. Hope you do, too!

CarolMN-

If you are looking to eat dinner at Cindys try calling the morning of. They open up more tables and you should be able to get one. This is what we did this past Saturday, Friday night they were full and Satruday morning we called and got the exact time we wanted for a party of two. They should be able to get you something closer to 5:30 than 5:05. Also, if CRO wont book 2 on a 4 then try calling CRT directly. Most times they will book a 2 on a 4.
Try calling that morning and you should get the time you want, and even if you dont you still have LTT.

I am a travel agent. I tried the last 3 morning to get CRT for 11/29, 11/30 or 12/1 for my upcoming trip, and alas I failed. I was
on hold 2-3 minutes before 7pm, and there is just 2 of us, the couldn't squeeze us in anywhere. It is so frustrating, I have been
trying to eat there the last 3 yrs with no luck. But I still love Disney and we will still have a great time.

:smooth: I will also agree with the reply mentioned above. Keep trying! I did the same thing last year. I called from 6:50 AM on trying to get the reservations. At 7:00 they answered and put me on hold for just a few seconds. By the time my called was answered it was booked. I tried several days during the months prior to my trip and they were still booked. When I arrived in Disney World I would call from my hotel room each morning. Sure enough one morning there was a cancellation and we were able to get in!!! So I say keep trying.....even at the parks!
Thankfully I was able to get in for this upcoming trip. I had heard that with requiring the credit card now it should help. I am happy about that!:p

I had a hard time getting a party of two for lunch for my trip. I called 60 days out and could only get the last lunch seating, 2:30pm Here is what the CM told me...

They only have a few "party of two" tables. They will not reserve a larger table that can seat 4 or more people for just a party of two. So if you call and say "party of 2" and those few two-seater tables are taken, you won't get a ressie. They want every seat at every table filled.

Because of the suggestions from this board, we just showed up at Cindy's last Thursday morning at opening and we were seated within 2 minutes at a table for 4 overlooking Fantasyland. It was truly a dream-come-true! (I had tried calling probably 5 times in the last 2 weeks and then daily while on site) The breakfast was very tasty and we were outta there in 40 minutes! :Pinkbounc

BTW, there was a vacant table for two near ours that didn't get seated until we were about ready to leave...

How's THIS? I called this morning got into the queue at 6:59 and a few tenths of a second, was on hold for 20 seconds. CM comes on, I spout my info, she checks--all full! It is now 7:00:19. Heavens to Betsy! I thought I had it for sure when she picked up before 7:00!

Maybe my party size is screwing my up. Anyone know if it's really hard to get a table for 5? Should I dump the baby and DH and just do a table for three? Would they let us hold the baby and I could do a table for 4?

I think it is a load of crap that they won't give a party of 2 a table that holds 4. That is SOOO greedy. They have raised prices, and now you can't get in if you don't have enough people in your party to fill a certain sized table??? Good grief! I think if I wanted to eat there and had a party of 2, I would simply tell them I had a party of 4 when I made the ressie. Then when I got there, I would say that it had changed to a party of 2! I think that Disney is sometimes a bit on the greedy side. I know that they are in business to make $$, but after all the effort and long distance phone calls, to be told no, due to that, I would not be a happy camper!!

A party for 5 is just as hard to get. Our party of 5 is seated at a table for 6 which works out great for us, because grandma can just show up as our 6th person, and she doesn't have to decide until that morning.

If you book a party for 4 then show up with the baby as the 5th and play stupid like this was your (not the CM's) honest mistake, they might let you do that. It would probably work best if your dh told them he'd be willing to give up his seat so you and the kids could be seated. I bet they'd take pity on you as long as you were very sweet with them.

I agree with them not taking up tables for 4 with only 2 people. There are way too many families with children trying to get into this breakfast not to fill all the seats possible. There are tables for 2, but they are very limited.

I imagine I'll ruffle a few feathers with my comments, but like another poster's signature says, "My opinions may not be popular, but dude I don't care."
