:sad2: :furious: :furious:

I had to cancel my trip :sad1: (leaving this Sunday)!!!!!!!!!!!! I was in a car accident in June and I thought I would be finished with physical therapy and get the ok from the doctors to go, but I didnt.

Plus, those people I work for's disability department said " If you can go run around Florida, then you can come sit at your desk". It doesnt matter that my trip has been planned since last July. It doesnt matter that I rented a scooter so I can still take my DS and Nephew to the parks. It doesnt matter that I would be medicated and not riding anything or having any fun myself!!

So I had to cancel for my health and disappoint :guilty: an 11 and 13 yrold who have earned this trip all year and all the perks!!!!!

I dont know what else to do or when we will be able to go! :confused3

I had to vent, thanks for listening...

Sorry to hear that taismommy. :sad2:

Although I'm sure the children are disappointed, they are a bit older and may understand that your health must come first - maybe a promise to re-schedule as soon as you get the OK from your doctors will help?

Hope you make a speedy recovery and get to take your well-earned trip to WDW soon! :)

Bummer!!! :guilty: We've had to cancel a few trips, due to my health. My situation is a bit different, because I have a chronic illness. Our DS has been very understanding though. I know you all are disappointed, but now you can start planning anew & have something to look forward to. The trip will be even better, since you'll be able to enjoy it with them. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. :goodvibes

I totally feel for you! :( Our first trip to Universal was cancelled less than 10 days prior because we were in a boating accident and I broke my foot and didn't know whether I'd just need a cast or surgery. It was so sad for us! We wound up pushing our trip back from September to March. Fun, but a long wait! Hang in there! I totally feel your pain!

Oh no! That is awful news. How about I come and pick up the kids and take them myself? ;)

Sooooo sorry to hear. :guilty: :guilty: :guilty:

I almost had this happen last year.

All I can say is that you keep pushing forward, find a new date and continue planning.

The only thing that gets me through is to plan. Not really planning, but researching. It helps keep me alive until I go.

Just stay on these boards and keep a positive attitude and you'll get there.

I know that everytime a snag hit us, I kept pushing forward because there was no way in hell that would keep me from my beloved parks !!! :) :goodvibes :goodvibes

GOOD LUCK !!!!!!!!!!!! :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

Thank you everyone for the :grouphug: "look on the bright side" notions and the "feel betters!!"

I knew it in my heart but when i wrote the thread i was upset to say the less.

Now that I have had time to relax, relate, release, I will begin planning tomorrow.

Damo- Thanks for the offer :thumbsup2

:goodvibes I'm sorry you had to cancel your trip but I do hope you are feeling better. Maybe you can take the kids somewhere locally for a small getaway until your Florida trip can be settled again. Even an overnighter can boost the spirits!

So sorry to hear your news!!!! I hope you recover quickly and are able to plan another trip to UO soon!!! Good luck!!! :cheer2:
