OMG...2 Weeks until our trip and DD sick!

We have 2 weeks until our trip to WDW...and DD has the stomach virus I am freaking out that the rest of us will get it!! I have Lysol'ed everything!! I just had to share with my Dis'ers....

I hear ya! We went in March...in the two weeks leading up to the trip I had my gallbladder removed, my DS had pneumonia and my DH had the flu. And no, I'm really not kidding!

I was really sweating it!! I even called our TA to talk about cancelling the trip...but I couldn't do it. In the end, we went. I just had to take it slow because I was a week out from surgery! Everyone else was healthy by then and we had a really wonderful trip!

Keep that lysol handy and those fingers crossed! I hope everyone is healthy in two weeks and you have a fantastic trip!

If you're going to get sick, two weeks out is pretty good timing--to me it seems that even if anyone else gets it, you'll have enough time to recover before your trip--so, I'm hoping for your sake that everyone else is fine, but I think your trip will not be affected by the bug your daughter has--2 days before a trip and I'd sweat it then. Good luck and stay healthy!

I swear we have issues just before every trip we take. When we went last December I had a car accident two days before. Maybe it's just the nature of traveling with a family. LOL

I agree, you'll be fine in two weeks. My YDS got the stomach flu and was sick Friday morning. I got it Saturday night, and ODS got it Sunday night. DH barely had anything, and felt fine by Tuesday. The ONLY good thing about the stomach flu is how quick it comes through. Have a great trip!

Yes two weeks is a pretty good amount of time. Figure if the rest of the family gets it within a day or two and everyone will feel crappy anywhere from a few days to a week that would work out perfectly. Lately whenever we get stomach bugs it seems to more of a 24 hour thing and days after not much of an appetite just forcing things down.

When we went last December I had a car accident two days before.

When we went in March 08 I had to replace the transmission ($5000) in the vehicle we were taking on the trip a week before we left.
The trip itself, however, was magical.

Pixie dust your way!!!tink: On one of our trips, my daughter had the flu and strep throat just a week before we were to leave. I was so worried because my youngest child was too young to take tamiflu! Everything worked out fine. I used lysol and hoped for the best! You have time for everyone to get well if needed...hopefully you will have a magicaly trip!
