Olszewski Must Haves, Peter Pan Opinions?

I'm collecting some of the Olszewski pieces. I have limited room and only want to collect a few of the best and most popular pieces. My favorite rides are pretty much the same as the majority of everyone else's: Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Peter Pan, etc. etc.

I think one of the major draws of the Olszewski's is that they are essentially miniature architectural models with some scenes built in. But still the major draw is the ability to appreciate the architecture of an entire attraction structure.

With that being said, I'd say the Haunted Mansion piece is probably one of the most desireable, if not the most, from an architectural significance standpoint. Not only is it areguabley the most popular ride, but the ride IS a building, a Mansion. Having a miniature of that ride is so cool.

Pirates of the Caribbean is a little less desireable in my opinion. Because the ride is primarily what is inside, the lagoon, the waterfall and all the scenes. The POTC piece is more of a New Orleans Piece centered around the POTC entrance. So I think the POTC piece is nice if New Orleans is one of your favorite areas of the park from an architectural standpoint. But due to the popularity of the ride, this is also considered areguably a must-have piece.

And of course there is the Castle. That is of course, hands down the most significant architectural building in the park. So a miniature of that is practically a must-have for any Disneyland Miniature collector.

The only other major buildings I can think that are very popular and have major architectural significance are the Matterhorn and Space Mountain (although Big Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain could argueably be added to that list too, but I think Space Mountain and the Matterhorn because of their long history and shear size are really the only ones in the same category as the Mansion and the Castle. If you are throwing in something like Splash Mountain, I'd say Jungle Cruise belongs on that list also.)

I'd also argue the Mainstreet Station is also a must-have piece since it not only symbolizes one of the most significant rides in the park: the train, but it also is the main entrance piece. (IMHO MainStreet Station, the Castle, and the Haunted Mansion are really THE "Trifecta" of the most significant pieces Olszewski has done so far.)

But there's one ride that always has long lines. It is one of the perenial favorites amongst kids and adults alike. It really is the major magnet of Fantasyland: Peter Pan.

The detail of the Olszewski Peter Pan piece is once again stunning. If you could shrink yourself down, you would feel like you were there. But does it belong up in the caliber of must-have pieces like the HM, POTC, Castle, and Mainstreet Station from not just the perspective of ride popularity but also in architectural significance? The facade is cool, but it is such a small part of the overall building. The overall building is just one big box, sort of like a sound stage at a movie studio.

What is your opinion on the Peter Pan piece relative to these other pieces. Is the scene aspects cool enough to make up for the insignificance of the architecture of most of the piece being just a box? Or is this piece really primarily riding on the ride popularity and from an architectural standpoint, probably would not be considered a must-have if you are trying to collect only the most signficant/impressive structures in the park?

Maybe this would answer my questions. If you could buy only one of these pieces and your decision had to disregard your relative love of each ride and only be based on how impressive the piece itself is, which would you buy, Peter Pan or Jungle Cruise?

Thanks in advancde to anyone willing to share their opinions.

I have the DLHM piece. I also have the DL marquee. If I was going to get a castle, it would probably have to be DL's since I have the WDW castle by Jim Shore....but a girl can't have to many castles (or Haunted Mansions, for that matter)!

So if you hand to choose between Jungle Cruise and Peter Pan miniatures, which one would you pick and why?
