We'll be visiting the parks in early April so I'm expecting large, spring break crowds to still be an issue. Ollivander's is on my oldest daughter's must-do list while we're there. We're staying at RPR that week but I can guarantee that we will not make it to EE at 7am. I'm assuming I can get the kids to the parks before 8am, however. Talk to me about lines for the interactive experience. Due to COVID, do they place your name on a list and tell you when to return? Or are you physically standing in a line waiting your turn?

I'm ok with waiting until later in the evening if needed since we'll be there multiple days and will still have time for the girls to use the wand in the parks afterward. With the expected crowds, I'm trying to juggle our need for the wand experience vs. Hagrid's and make our plans accordingly.

We were there last week with Spring Break crowds. We got there before park opening and were able to go in as passholders. We didn’t get there before 30 minutes or so before opening.

The waits were insane. They never got under 90 minutes throughout the day from the beginning. Most of the time it was more like 120+. It didn’t reduce throughout the day. We went a couple of times and they had reached capacity. This was the same at both locations.

They aren’t doing the list. It is back to the limited party size and doing standby.

Bummer. We’ll have EPs for all the rides so hopefully the kids won’t mind standing in one (long) line while we’re there.

This is such a bummer! When we went, we did the experience multiple times, and both my boys got to have a wand pick them. Our upcoming trip will be my daughter's first time, and I was really hoping she'd get a chance to be picked, but I don't think she'd be down with a 2 hour line.

I really wish there were a virtual queue. Such a bummer to know that UO has the technology, but isn't using it on this. I imagine a socially distanced line with that many people takes up a huge portion of the Wizarding World.

Don't mean to be a poop. But Hagrid's might be a long line too.

There have been a lot of unhappy folks that haven't been able to get a spot through the virtual queue this past week. I don't believe they've opened the stand-by queue at all in the past week due to the crowds. I've already been preparing the kids to either A.) wait in line forever if they want to ride or B.) Not get to ride if we can't snag anything in the virtual queue. We'll be back in the fall so I'm hoping by then that the Velocicoaster will help divert some of the Hagrids crowds!
