Olivia's for special birthday cake

I asked this question on the restaurant board and haven't gotten an answer, so I'm hoping someone here can help. My niece will be having her 35th birthday while we are at WDW in Dec. and I would like to order her a special cake. Has anyone ordered a cake from Olivia's and how was it? Could you get pretty much what you wanted or were you limited in your choices? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

We didn't order at Olivia's we ordered at Sci Fi for dd's 7th b-day May of 2007 but the cakes were good. I called about one month ahead. We ordered two cakes because we had a large group and I think the cakes were around $25. The number I called is- 1-407-827-2253. Disney Cake Hotline (yes, they even have a Disney cake hotline), have fun planning!!

We got a birthday cake from Olivia's last April. Funny thing - I went through the cake hotline to order, was cut off and passed along several times and ended up ordering through the hostess at Olivia's. I did not know who I spoke to until I picked the cake up and she said "oh I spoke to you on the phone". I ordered it from my room at OKW on a Sunday for Thursday. They don't bake the cakes on sight but will have it delivered to the restaurant for the day you need it. Depending on the lead time you have you can most likely either call or go over to Olivias to order. The cake was good. I can't remember how much it cost, but do remember thinking it was alot. Not the same thing, but I pre-ordered a birthday cake for my SIL through some e-mail I got on this board, and it didn't come. I called room service asking where it was, and they said they never got the order, but they were able to bring a cake up to the room in about an hour, complete with my SIL's name on it. Once I found one in the food court grocery section at Caribbean beach. They have nice little cakes.

Thanks for the replies and suggestions. Still not sure what I'm going to do. I might just go ahead and order a cake from BW bakery. I've gotten cakes from there in the past and they are great. Just didn't want to have to go pick it up. I was hoping to have something delivered. Oh well, I still have some time to decide.
