Just wondering if we will get hassled or not. We have the DDP for all three of us. At table service restaurants if my husband and I order our food and my son orders from the kids menu will they care if ds eats some food from my plate also. My son isn't a big fan of traditional children's foods- chicken nuggets, mac and cheese, hot dogs etc. So if my son orders his chicken nuggets or whatever, but wants me to throw some of my baked fish on his plate to sample will I get charged extra? Just getting a little nervous after hearing reports of under 3's being charged for eating something off their parents plates.

No. What happens is a giant mouse will come and personally escort you off the property. :rotfl: Kidding. You'll be 3 guests on the DDP? You are ordering 2 Adult meals and 1 Child meal on the plan and when the food comes to the table you are sharing amongst yourselves? I doubt you'll have a problem. IF a server hassles you, I'd ask to speak with a manager. There's absolutely no reason for there to be any problem with the scenario you presented.

Where are your meals scheduled? If you are eating at a steak place, there's probably a kid's steak on the menu. If you are eating at a seafood restaurant, there's probably fish on the kid's menu. As a bonus, your son will get a little salad or some soup too- something adults no longer get on the DDP. I like to encourage people with kids to consider family style and buffet meals for some of their dinners. It's a great value on the DDP (one meal's cost for the child exceeds the daily cost of the plan) AND there's a huge variety for the child who has more mature tastebuds.

FWIW, under 3s are ALWAYS welcome to share from their parents' plates at no charge. That's another reason to speak with a manager.

I "sea gull" off my husband's plate so badly that I am surprised I am not charged. :rotfl:

You paid for 3 plans, ordered the food, and if you choose to share your food, I say, No harm done. No following the rules would be to pay for 2 people on the plan and having your child eat for free off your plate all the time. That is not fair and of course that would be in poor taste.

But share away!!! popcorn::

The recent trouble was in an "all you care to eat" situation where I'd expect to pay for an older child eating off my plate (but not an under 3 year old). When ordering off a regular menu, you get one order of food and can share as you please, unless there is a "shared plate" policy.
