As we get older (24yo trapped in a 38yo body!) and wiser are there any things that maybe grandma or your fav auntie said and now you look it as "They were right!"
I"ll go first, being a teen and my mom and I were going at it and I yelled "You should be thankful I don't do drugs" (I was as squeaky clean as they are!) and my mom yelled back "You're lucky I don't either!" Which in my teenage mind thought "Whatever, parents don't do that sort of stuff. Boy, now that I'm 38, yikes! I see now!
Then I had a roommate tell me as I was nursing a broken heart in the middle of the night, "When the sun comes up, everything will be brighter and clearer. The dark makes things seem worse that what they really are." And WOW! All the nights I paced the floors because bills, arguing with DH, etc, when that sun came up, it seemed like a weight was lifted off my shoulders.
