Good Morning everyone!!

Going to Orlando and staying off-property for 6 days right behind Old Town and the Kissimmee Fun Spot. My girlfriend and I are very interested in checking out what they have to offer. The restaurants/bars, attractions, shopping, and unique, quirky things.

Anyone have any experience in this area?

I haven't been but have friends and family that absolutely love it there.

I haven't stayed near Old Town, but going there has been a staple of every Orlando trip I've made with my wife and our friends. We basically only ever go at nighttime, after dinner on an off-day or after an early park closure (Discovery Cove day, etc.).

Old Town has fun evening things to do like karaoke bars or an old car cruise every Friday night. The shops have a decent variety of items, not just the standard things you see in every gift shop on the west end of 192. There's money-wasting opportunities to be sure, like Tarot readings or a(n overpriced but well done) haunted house. I haven't done much inside Fun Spot, but the Go Kart track outside of it is pretty darn fun and not overpriced.

Maybe Old Town won't be exciting for you after 5-6 days there but it's still a decent location to stay. Any restaurant you can think of is nearby or a short drive on 192. Disney main entrance is only a 5 minute drive away... you're probably talking 15 to Disney Springs depending on traffic and which way you go. I think you'll have a good time!

We are staying offsite in November and are planning on hitting Old Town for dinner that night we arrive. I've heard good things about Flippers Pizza and would like to try it.

We love Flippers but we go to the location on 192 West which is closer to where we stay. There’s also one at Crossroads. But they’re all good.

But they’re all good.

They got good reviews on Yelp and when I saw there was one at Old Town, I thought the kids would like to go. There is supposedly a good coaster at the Fun Spot location here as well. I watched a Tim Tracker video where he road it.
