I have some old Park Hopper Tickets. One set of tickets is back from 1997 has at least one day on it and the other set is from 2001 and has 2 days left on them. Where can I go find out for sure what is left on these? Also, I know I have to upgrade them to the new tickets, where can I go to get this taken care of before we get to the park. We want to get to the park early and not have to deal with this once we get there. Besides bringing the tickets in do I need anything else with me to convert these over to the new tickets? Am I able to add the dining package onto them? :confused3

You can find out at any park (including water park o TTC) ticket window or Guest Realtions office how many days are remaining on each one. Also, if any of them have become demagnetized they can be replaced.

Second of all, you can do nothing with those tickets (or their replacements) except use them. Tickets issed before January 1, 2005 can not be upgraded if partially used. If they are unused the only thing than can be done is use them or use a system-derived value to purchase new tickets.

Third is the dining package has nothing to do with the tickets you purchase or possess. To purchase the dining package you must purchase a package which includes room at a Disney Resort atrack rate, at least a one-day, one-park ticket for each person age 3 or older on the reservation, and the dining for each person three or older on the reservation for the number of nights of the reservation.

I used my park hoppers this year from 1999 . You don't have to upgrade them just use them. Really nice and simple to do. Obviously you can't upgrade them to dining plan or anything else as said but I would just use them. Go to guest services at the front of the park and ask them to check them and then head in to the park. Just remember that once you use them you tag them with your bimetric thingy (like a finger print) so only who ever first uses it can keep using it. And just to state a really obvious thing, you can't use the same ticket twice in one day ie you can park hop etc but you can't use one day and someone else use another on the same day. I know that's pretty obvious but thought it best to say

Thanks for all the info. I am glad to hear that I don't have to go through and have them changed out for a new style of tickets. We arrive on a Friday in the afternoon and are not going to the park until Saturday morning. We are staying offsite. Is there any other place I can go besides the park to find out how many days are left? I do not want to waste time in the morning dealing with these old tickets. I wish my memory was a little better then I wouldn't have to have them checked.

Before actually using the old tickets, refigure your ticket budget both with and without using them. You might prefer to buy a longer new ticket rather than use up the old tickets since in many cases additional days on new tickets cost as little as two dollars each.

If you already bought new Magic Your Way tickets and want to add days to them, it is better to do that from inside the park or, more correctly, shortly after some usage of the ticket. For upgrading a partly used ticket you pay the difference between the posted price (above the ticket booths) of what you want and the posted price of what you have. If you "upgraded" before usage you are actually doing a trade up and the value of what you have is somewhat dependent on how much you paid.

I think you have to go to one of the parks to check. I don't think down town disney guest services has the facility

YOu can check them at DTD at Guest Relations at least you could in 2005. We checked ours from our 2003 trip at DTD when we activated DH's AP.

1) Ticket-check locations
. . . any park Guest Services
. . . Downtown Disney Guest Services
. . . any resort Guest Services
2) They used to have a phone number to check them.
3) They stopped since so many were buying from eBay and called to verify days.
