We'll arrive before the check in time at POR, and I thought we'd wander over to CBR for lunch. What can anyone recommend? Is this a good place to eat? I'm thinking of staying here on our next trip and want to get a "look see" at the place.

I've been reading about Shutters :sad2: Can you recommend anything for lunch at the food court?

We loved Shutters! I think we only ate breakfast at the CS stations but honestly I think pizzas and sandwiches are pretty standard at any food court. It's a cool resort to walk through though if you've never been.

We've stayed at CBR twice and really enjoyed the food court. My husband loves the Reuben sandwich and my favorite is the hand tossed Caesar salad and the baked pasta. My son liked the pizza but, then again, he could live off pizza. Be sure to check out the desserts in the Grab N Go station. They have fresh baked cookies, brownies, muffins, cakes and pies. Very good!

Sarehm - Nope. Never been to CBR. That's why we're taking a side trip over there for lunch. I'm hoping to fall in love with the place and get DH to stay there next time we visit.

Mickeystoontown - Thanks! That's just what I was hoping to hear! Salad and pasta, yum, you hit the target on those two. :yay: Mac and chesse? Fettuccini?

I generally avoid the food courts whenever possible, but CBR's is the exception. I've had some really good pizza, sandwiches and chicken caeser salads there, as well as delicious breakfast platters. :thumbsup2

It was a baked ziti kind of pasta. Really good too. I got them to give me a cup of sauce on the side 'cause I bought breadsticks too.

That sounds delish. Thanks for the opinion - now I'm excited to go!

When you do stay there definitely rise and shine for breakfast; you won't be disappointed with the food or quantity.

We had pizza, veggie burger, fries and a side salad there. We shared those two meals between two adults and a child. Child took the pizza. We also had pre packaged carrot cakes. We shared one slice and put the other in our room fridge for later. All were really good. I actually ate my side salad w/o dressing. I don't lather dressing on my salads, but it isn't usual for me to eat them w/o dressing. The veggies were so fresh I didn't miss a dressing. Be sure to check out the grab 'n go section, there might be a few items you want to mix it with your meal too (bakery items, fruit and cheese plates, yogurt as dessert, ice cream treat, etc.)

Bottom line, I'd eat there again in a heart beat.

Thanks for the advice septbaby, I'll make good use of the fridge in our room. And you're the second person to mention the grab n go section of the food court. I'll have to make sure we take a look at all the goodies they have there.
