Can the value of old Park Hopper Tickets be applied to an Annual Pass or can they only used on their own or applied to the new Magic Your Way Tickets?
I'm considering purchasing an Annual Pass if there are resort discounts in August; but, I don't know what to do with my old tickets. Also, I have a 9 year old that will turn 10 in January. If I buy her a child's AP in August of this year when she's 9, can she use it next August when she's 10?

The value of the unused theme park admissions from one old ticket can be used towards the purchase of one new ticket, either MYW or AP/PAP. You cannot apply the value of multiple old tickets towards the purchase on one new one.

Your 9 y.o. should get a child's AP. She will continue to be able to use with no further updating through its expiration in 2006. If you renew it in 2006, she would need to get an adult AP then.

That's great news. I guess if I'm going to do an annual pass this might be a good year to do it. We can plan a vacation for this summer and then come back next summer when she's 10 yrs old with a child's annual pass. I guess for some people it would make since to purchase a child's annual pass right before they turn 10. Now if they will just offer a resort discount in August to tempt me further.

Any idea the dollar amount of credit for:
1 day left on a 5 day child park hopper and
3 days left on a 5 day adult park hopper?

Also, can 1 day left on an adult park hopper be used as a credit to purchase another child's annual pass?

These passes are burning a hole in my pocket.

Wendy, we are doing the same thing. I purchased an AP for me and a childs for my nine year old. DH and DD7 used hoppers we had. I am planning to convert their hoppers to AP's this trip so that we can actually go to the parks the day we arrive. We went 4 times in the past 10 months so I wish I had had the AP's then. I have already paid for my AP in the savings on YC for February and I also paid for my DDE card from the savings on our meals. Smart move!

Exact amount of credit will not be known until the ticket is scanned by Guest Relations. A close approximation can be ascertained by dividing the original cost of the ticket by the unused days remaining (in your case, multiply cost of child's ticket by .20 and the adult ticket by .60). Not exact but in the ballpark.

Yes
