Old paper tickets and an online printout...

We will be at US/IOA on Tuesday (!). I have 2 old tickets left from a 3 day non expiring from 7 years ago, each with a day left (2 parks). I did fax copies to US a few months ago and they claim they are still valid. They are cardboard. Should I just wing it and try to use them at the turnstile? Or should I get in the ticket line when we get there and double check their validity and get new plastic ones?? I'm preeeeeeeettty sure what they said is right- that they're valid, but still. Plus will paper work in the turnstyle. On that note, I have a print out of the online 3d ticket I bought and ---what, just show it at the turnstyle? Or have to turn that in for a plastic ticket?

Tickets that are 7 years old are often not read by the turnstiles. It would not be fun to wait in line at the turnstiles only to be sent to Guest Services. Some older tickets have no problem being scanned but you just never know if your ticket will be a problem. I'd personally advise stopping at the Guest Service will-call window and see if they need to reprint them on regular/newer ticket stock. The Guest Service window is on the far right at both parks before you get to the ticket booths or turnstiles.

I'm not sure why you mentioned that the new tickets are plastic. The new tickets and the old tickets are all paper tickets but they just have laminate inside to make them water-resistant and more durable so they can't tear. They feel like paper tickets though with a slight laminate feel to them but do not feel like plastic credit cards though.

I dont know why I said it either, except that's how Disneys are--like a credit card, plastic. I haven't been in a long time, so they could be printed on gummy worms for all I know!! But thanks for the info-- I will go to guest services before hand and play it safe.

The only Disney tickets on plastic are the ones that are put on your onsite hotel keys. The rest of the tickets are paper too. I love the plastic cards. The Annual Passes used to be on plastic at Universal Studios and then they went to paper except for the Premier AP. Even the annual passes at Disney are on paper. But anyway the paper is pretty strong even though i prefer plastic myself.
