Remember the old paper Disney Store gift certificates they used to sell back in the old days? Well, while cleaning out a drawer I found $30.00 in gift certificates. Has anyone tried to use one of those old certificates in the past few decades? :rotfl2: If so, did you have any luck? Thanks for any input.

Yes, you can still use it at any Disney Store. I am a cast member and a few weeks ago someone paid with one. It is a "tender" option on the registers so you should have no problems! Happy shopping!!

We used some last year and the cast member asked if we were sure we didn't want to keep them for posterity! Tempting, but no! We had found them in the front pocket of an old suitcase we were donating to Goodwill. So glad I checked those pockets!

I always wonder about old paper gift certificates. I know that somewhere in our storage unit I have about $100 in gift certificates to Oniell's Surf Shop in Santa Cruz, Ca. I was not living anywhere near home and my parents continued to purchase them for me. I knew at the time I should have sold them to my brother

This happened to me recently, but with Barnes & Noble instead of Disney, and the clerk gave me an odd look but the transaction went through. I think large retail chains train their employees to recognize older modes of gift certificates.

Another recent find was a Linens 'n' Things gift card  They went out of business a couple years ago! No idea how much was on that sucker...
