Old Navy free camera odds...

So, what time do you think we need to be in line at Old Navy to get the free camera? I am shopping in Watertown NY about 3 hours from our home. I am leaving when my husband gets home from work at 5pm or so. (He's Canadian, so it's a work day for him!) I would like to check into our hotel as soon as we arrive and then head out to wait in line. Do you think there is any hope if we line up around 9pm or should we have an alternate plan in mind? 3 years ago in Bangor Maine we scored the free video game by lining up about an hour and a half before opening, but I feel like this camera may draw in more of a crowd!! Any ideas??

When the video game came out they only had 5 of those at our ON store. My husband basically laughed at the camera... Chances are so slim that you will get one that it isn't worth it.

I work there.
We were told there we would get min 25 cameras per store.

We are opening at midnight. We are expecting line to start at least by 10pm and hand out wrist bands just before midnight.....must be 18 yrs old.
You must purchase $40 of merch to get camera.

A couple years ago, I was able to get in line early enough for the RockBand game. I think it was a 3am opening, and I was there before 11pm. I was first in line, but gave up that spot to join some people I met in the morning time about 10 spots back. They were much nicer than the obnoxious family sitting behind me.

Thursday morning was a free guitar with Rockband 2 purchase, and Friday morning was free Lego Rockband with a $20 purchase.

MomXX5, I am so sorry you have to work Thursday . I think it's insane.

I do have another question for you. I bought 11 sweaters today at the 75% off price . What a deal! But, they only charged me for 10.

I have every intention of bringing the sweater back and paying for it, but my husband wonders if I will get the cashier in trouble. I looked at the receipt and there is a cashier number on it.

So, since you work there, can you tell me if I will get that poor girl fired if I do the right thing?

I work for GapKids which is the same co. as Old Navy. It's very nice of you to return to pay for the sweater! But, no you will not get the cashier in trouble. Unfortunately on crazy busy days things like that happen.

The Old Navy stores in my area tend to only get anywhere from 5-10 of the free items. To me it's not even worth the trouble of standing in line. I really don't like how Old Navy does this. If they are going to advertise something like that honestly they should have more than 5-10. If they weren't advertising it I wouldn't have such a problem. So to be on the safe side if this is a main thing for you to get I'd start driving by Old Navy up to 4 hours before they open. Otherwise I'd find a good deal on a camera at another store.
