Old Key West

We have reservations @ Old Key West for two weeks in June. We have the "Studio". Is there a possibility of upgrading to a one bedroom? Thanks

hi, you could call and get them to upgrade you to a 1 bedroom dont know how much more it would be,it mightbe pretty difficult for availibility with it being summer.i do not think at all that you would get a complimentary upgrade at all. hope this helps.

If you were to rent points from a DVC member it would cost you between $4000-$5000 for the 2 weeks in a 1BR. Depending on which 2 weeks. If you did a studio it would be between $2000.00 and $2400.00 depending on which weeks...... Rich

Complimentary upgrades at the DVC resorts are very, very rare. If you want to stay in a one bedroom, it's best to reserve one.

at Boardwalk Villas during the 1999/2000 holiday time. Her trip was delayed by a night or two due to storms in her area and her flight was cancelled. She had reserved a studio but was upgraded to a 1-bedroom when she finally arrived. She had gotten a package deal through a travel agency. So Disney got their money (or maybe my sister got some kind of reimbursement through travel insurance?) since she only stayed 3-nights in a 1-bedroom instead of 5 in a studio. But it was a nice gesture by Disney. I was surprised they had a 1-bedroom available during the holidays.

Old Key West is a DVC property that is sold out. While Disney reserves a piece of the resort (3%?) for maintenance, and there are cash ressies available because members have traded out to go on the cruise or other trips, mostly it is pretty full with members. It's very unlikely in the summer that there would even be an empty 1 bedroom available for an upgrade.
