Old Key West

This is our first time staying at DVC. Well, in truth we will be at the AKL in Kidani in a one-bedroom villa for two nights and then moving to Old Key West for four nights.

We are in a deluxe studio and I've had no luck finding many pictures so if anyone has some to post, I'd love to see them.

Also, as I'm new to DVC, hopefully someone here will know the answer to a question. I know rooms are not available until after 4 p.m., but can we check in at 7 a.m. and purchase our park tickets and have them put on our key cards to head over to the park. We are checking in on a Sunday and have a 9 a.m. ADR at Crystal Palace. Will we be able to get the tickets, etc., all put on our cards at 7 a.m.?

You can check in early, but mostly likely your room won't be ready until late afternoon. Have you thought about pre buying your tickets through undercover tourist? You'll save money over buying them at the resort especially if you have the mousesavers discount. I'm not sure about having them added to your KTTW card at the resort. I'm not sure if they can with the new system. I haven't tried though so not sure! If not they might be able to do it at guest services in the park.

I have thought of getting the tickets ahead of time. But then the question is how we use them for EMH's if they are not on key card? Would we just show the key to show for attractions and use the "tickets" for the fast pass machines?

You use your park tickets to enter the park and for FP. Then during EMH just show your KTTW card at the attractions! super simple! Your tickets do not need to be on your KTTW card at all.

they will most likely be able to put the tickets on the KTTW card.

but otherwise, yes, just show your KTTW card to get in for EMH and stick your plain old tickets in the fast pass machines.
