Old Key West Question:

We are considering Old Key West for our February trip. If we are fortunate to be in buildings 11-14, what will our bus situation be? Will be have to go through entire resort after pick-up....on the way back as well?

That is the hospitality house section and it's a separate booking category; so you are unlikely to end up in those buildings if you don't have that booking category. All park buses start at Peninsular stop then proceed to Southpoint, Turtle Pond, Millers, and lastly Hospitality.

For parks, the Hospitality House bus stop, is final stop before departing the resort, closest to 11-14. Returning from the parks, it is the final stop. For your room location, you could get off at stop #1 (Peninsular Rd. at building 26) and walk back over the bridge to the Hospitality House & your room area, well before that bus even gets close to getting there from the other stops.

Can also use that Peninsular Rd. stop to get on an empty bus. Sometimes by the time it gets to the Hospitality House stop, it can be full, with just standing room. (You would be riding to each stop, throughout the resort, but will have a seat).

The Hospitality House bus stop will be the nearest stop, and it's the last one so after boarding you'll head straight to the destination. Upon returning to OKW, you'll be the last off after making the rounds to the 4 other stops. However, the Peninsular Rd. stop is first and it's quite close to the HH area so you could disembark there for a short walk to your building. Peninsular can also be handy for boarding during busy times as the bus can be full before reaching the HH stop.

Building 11’s closest bus stop is the one at the check in building. You will also have access to the water taxis from that point too for Disney Springs.

On our last stay, we were fortunate enough to be in 11-14. We got on the bus at the Hospitality House the first day, since the bus we wanted was coming, but we figured we'd use Peninsular Road after that since I use an ECV and there'd probably be no room for me by the time the bus got to HH. Yet, surprisingly there was and the bus really wasn't too full, and it never was too full all week when we did (always) get on at HH. Yet, we always got off at Peninsular Road and noted that we beat the bus when we passed HH.
