Old key west or SSR

WE are headed to Orlando for a volley ball tournament in June. Not going to the parks but staying on property. Would you choose Old key west or SSR? we have not stayed at either one. We usually stay at a Magic Kingdom resort but don't want to use that many points. I thought SSR might be good due to its proximity to DS, but Old key west looks nice and relaxing. TIA

For the record, SSR is close, but only the area that is close to disney springs, the rest is a hike.
We have stayed at SSR, it is fine. I wasn't that impressed, not much theming, not all that special. We're going in February and staying at Old Key West.

The deciding factor for us is that OKW was two queen beds in the studios, instead of the queen bed + pullout sofa bed combo found in most other DVC studios, like SSR...assuming you're looking into DVC rooms, of course.

SSR is currently undergoing refurbishment. It is scheduled to take 2 years. The new Murphy-style sofa/bed set up looks much more comfortable than the old sofa beds they are replacing. But even if you get a refurbished villa, you will likely encounter a good deal of construction equipment and noise on the property.

OTOH, OKW just recently completed a refurbishment so you won’t deal with that kind of disruption. But they did not get the Murphy-style sofa/bed, which could be a consideration if you are booking 1BR villas.

We're doing a resort-only trip in March and SSR won out for us. This is why:
a) walking distance to Disney Springs for multiple dining options, bowling & movies, etc, as well as access to the Disney bus system to go to other resorts for dining/activities
b) four different pool options (2 with zero entry & slides, one with a splash pad, another horse-themed splash area)
c) proximity to Lynx bus system to go to SeaWorld one day
d) Golf course for husband/spa for myself
e) I don't want to hassle with a car rental on vacation (because it would require lugging down two car seats as well)

We rent a studio and have two young daughters, so them sharing a pull-out is not a big deal. Also, because we are renting a studio, we don't do a lot of cooking in the room, we go out to eat a lot, so access to dining at Disney Springs without having to use a boat to get there was also key for us.

Old Key West looks very nice and if we were doing a one-bedroom and cooking most of our meals, I might pick there due to the themeing, sandcastle pool, and larger rooms.

OKW has very few buildings with elevators if that is a concern. Mostly stairs.

We prefer OKW for...

1. 2 queen beds in studio
2. Large 1 and 2 bedroom units
3. Feels smaller than SSR (to me)
4. Relaxing boat ride to DS
