Hello all,
We check into OKW on 2/13 in a 3BR for the week. I know room requests are not guaranteed, but any recommendations?

I would think close to the front desk area from being on that property. Never stayed there just have walked through the resort.

There's a 3 BR in Building 1, I believe That's my favorite location

You want / need up close to the main pool , then building 62, its an elevator building. If you want back in the resort some, then ask for building 35 in the Turtle pond area, with a smaller pool, and a food stand that opens at 11 am.

The buildings start at 11, no 1-10. Only one HH building has a GV it is #25.
We were in a GV in the fall there it was great. Tons of room. Good luck and enjoy. Best location, my choice would be 15 and 16. We were in building 22. We have had studios before and you could hear the buses and golf carts all day. The noise wasn’t loud, but it wasn’t peaceful. It is far away, but there was no noise from the buses. Even though it is close to the highway, we only heard 1 motorcycle racing down the road, that was it for the week.

Sorry, my dying computer omitted the five. I meant building 15.

Do you need a car if you stay at OKW ?
It’s not necessary. Bell services has golf carts to bring you and your luggage to your room on arrival and checkout days.
Each section has a bus stop. I believe the park busses always stopped at the main area last, or you can enjoy the long, but nice walks around the resort.

If you have a car and typically use it driving to parks, OKW is more ideal than most resorts because you can park fairly close to your room.

I agree that you do not need a car but it sure does feel luxurious to have one. You can park the thing right outside your door. Right outside - like 5 seconds away. You want Chick-Fil-A for dinner? Just get in your car. Wanna try the fancy McDonald's on property? You can there and back before the fries get cold. Someone in your party needs to go to the drug store for candy (or a prescription)? Your car is right there. Staying at OKW and renting a car is in my opinion (I'm sure many will disagree) one of the absolute best ways to visit WDW.

We like building 48, close to the bus stop and quiet pool. Nice golf course views. Also Building 49, but not so close to the bus, but a short walk to the Turtle shank pool and snack bar.
