Weve got one booked for mid August but I cant find any really good pictures. I have no doubt that Disney will impress me yet again but is there anything you DIDNT like about them? Anything we should plan ahead or look out for?

I stayed in one a few years ago and loved the resort. Only thing I didnt like was being on a golf course and having a golf view from my balcony. You can park right ouside your building so it does mean a lot of traffic. Loved the spaciousness of the 2 bed villa. I have a few photos see link in my signature.

Unless you are in building 62, 63 or 64 and you are on an upper floor, you will have to take the stairs. Only those three buildings (built after the resort was completed a few years later) have elevators. And they are reserved for guests with accessibility needs.

On the good side, you have a great resort, wonderful room with so much space you will just be sick. There is a large porch with a round table and four chairs where you can sit and eat your breakfast or just have coffee and watch the birds and golfers/groundskeepers. It's our favorite resort. The bathroom is huge. You have a full kitchen with full sized refrigerator and oven. A queen sized sleeper sofa and love seat. The master bedroom has a king sized bed, the second bedroom has two queen sized beds. You'll have a jacuzzi tub in the main bathroom. Full sized washer and dryer.

Check over on the DVC boards and you'll find out lots about OKW.

We'll be there in June in a one bedroom (just three of us), but we have had a two bedroom there at least three times if not more.

Here's the living room.

Check out www.dvcfriends.com for 360 degree room tour - this is our favourite resort. We were in building 26 in 2 bdrm with friends last year - gorgeous view of pond/ducks and golf green - our favourite part of the day was dinner time so the kids could eat in the dining room, and the grown ups would sit on the deck and have dinner and a drink while enjoying the views. You'll love it! Have a great time. We'll be in our one bedroom at OKW in 62 days!:cool1:

Wow, its pretty too, and it does seem like more space than SSR
A whole lot more space than any of the other two bedroom villas. OKW was the first DVC. In fact, it was called Disney Vacation Club. When Disney realized they had a hit on their hands, they also realized they could get people to buy into it AND cut the amount of space they used for each villa. Thus, the smaller villas after OKW.

Thankyou so much for the pictures! Im sure Im not looking in any of the right places but I can never seem to find any!

We love it there. Because it is the oldest dvc resort the landscaping is nice and mature. The grounds are so lush. The feeling is just so laid back and relaxed. You can't help but just feel comfortable there. There is so much to do. It is also a perfect place to go back to after the chaotic atmosphere of the parks. The bartenders are the best on property, the cm's are probably the friendliest on in Disney, and Olivias Cafe is one of those hidden gems in WDW. The food is decent, the prices are good for Disney anyway, and you don't neccasarily have to make ADRs. Please forgive my spelling. Ther isn't much shopping but it is a short bus ride to DTD. Or if you prefer you can walk, I think it is about a mile. Or you can take a nice boat ride. You won't be dissapointed with the place.

Yea I read about the 1.5 mile walking/running trail they have at the resort. Has anyone used it?

You can also go on youtube and enter"two bedroom Old Key West". Yes there are even videos of guests as they enter their villa for the first time.

Thats funny my sister just suggested the youtube thing to me!! she also said she rode expedition everest on youtube!! what a cheater :)
