HI ALL!
My local AAA Office is offering 5 & 6 Day Hopper 14 day expire passes for less than buying online in advance from Disney.
I still have an old 3 Day Hopper Pass.
If I buy the AAA 6 Day Hopper and go to the Tix Office at WDW can I apply the value of the old Hopper to the Water, DDT, Etc option on the 4 new AAA Passes?
Has anyone done this yet, It seems to be a new twist in the New 2005 Tix
Game?
Thanks! :goodvibes

Yes, you can do this.

It would probably be easier to just get the tickets that you need, direct from Disney, with the advance purchase discount. Once you get there, you'll be charged gate price for the new tickets - so any savings you'd get with AAA you would be forfeiting to add the discount.

The way it works is they exchange tickets 1 for 1. They can't just "add options" - the way that you and I think they can.

What they would do is cancel your old admission, and use that as a credit toward the purchase of a brand new piece of admission.

Does that make sense?

When you get the 5 or 6 day expiring MYW passes with hopping (if that is what they are*) from AAA, after you get to Disney you can add the Water Parks Fun part for the same $48. you would pay if you bought base level or hopping passes at the gate. The total cost may or may not be more than if you bought passes with Water parks Fun complete from Disney in advance.

I recommend you save the 3 days worth of old hopper for a future vacation when you have enough leftover remains of old passes (possibly including the leftovers of your to be purchased from AAA passes upgraded to 10 days non-expiring) so that you don't need to buy any new passes way out then.

Upgrading from 5 days expiring to 10 days non-expiring costs $125. If you had waited to add Water Parks Fun until after you got to Disney, you must make the decision for this upgrade at the same time to get the 5 more days for $125., otherwise a different method (dollar value trade up) costing you more is used.

Promotional (passes unlike those sold at the gate) passes have different rules for upgrades, some cannot be upgraded.
