Old Hickory Steakhouse at Gaylord Palms - can you recommend?

Looking for a fine dining restaurant offsite for my parents who are traveling with us. It's their anniversary this Friday.

Can anyone still recommend the Old Hickory Steakhouse at Gaylord Palms?

Most recent thread I found was from 2006.

TBH I wouldnt recommend it! I went in 2010 as a treat with my hubby and parents (was really looking forward to it) My starter was great, gator lasagne if my memory serves me right. My dad and I then had a very very expensive cut of steak for mains, we asked for medium and it was WAAAAAY over cooked and just didnt taste very nice. I cant remember what my hubby had but I tried it and remember thinking it was just OK.

The servers and the atmosphere are great but I would not go back on this alone.....sorry if it wasnt what you wanted to hear!

or, heading downtown, Del Frisco's

Texas De Brazil is very good - and a great value - but not the "fine dining" experience of these two outstanding restaurants.
