Old Disney Park photos

my sister and I in 1973.

This the only photo I can find - and we went every year from 72 until 80 (when my brother started college)

I think I may have posted this before, but it's one of my favorites! This was taken just after Donald took my Mickey ears off and covered my face with them! (ignore the date- scanner was not working at the time and I took a digital image if the pic and forgot to take the date off!)

Back then it was just pics with the characters- I don't remember ever getting autographs. And they were just out randomly in the park. The only characters I remember from that trip and the '76 trip were Mickey, Donald, 3 Little Pigs, Big Bad Wolf, Eeyore and Pooh.

The Michael Jackson movie was a 3D movie called Captain EO. Not sure about him performing at the MK, however I could see him performing right before Captain EO started. It was at Disneyland also.

Here's an ad from a 1992 USA Today newspaper supplement with the Michael Jackson EO attraction in it:

this is my first try at posting a pic - if it works this is a pic of me a long time ago, 1992 (I was 17)

Thank you for posting all your 1979 photos since it was the year I first went to Disney and I can't find a single photo from that trip; just park literature etc.

I was so excited to see yours!

Thanks again!

I really am enjoying these pictures so much! I wish I had more to post. I'll have to look for some.

Several people have pointed out the changes in the characters' appearance over the years. The Big 5 seem to have remained pretty much unchanged. However, I did notice in a few of the pictures in this topic that Mickey's ears seem to be bigger than they are today. Here are a few examples that I picked out from previous pages:

Does anybody else notice this, or is it just me? I suppose it could just be the angle.

I TOTALLY thought I was hallucinating when I thought the Mickster's ears looked HUGE in some of the old photos! I'm still dying over the Rainbow Minnie's blue eyeshadow and dark pink lipstick! :cutie:

My first trip was in 1996 at the ripe old age of 13, but I did find an "Information Guide" and some post cards from 1972. I recently visited with my mom's side of the family for a wedding. My mom asked her sister to bring photo albums because she's working on a scrapbook. Apparently, back in 1972, my grandfather won a trip to Walt Disney World. He was a door to door salesman and it was a prize given to the top seller. My aunt Carol didn't have any pictures, but these were in the photo album.

You should have seen me when I found them! My family thought I was nuts. Is it horrible that on the weekend my cousin got married, finding this stuff may have been the highlight?
