In early 2020 we bought two gold annual passes. We were going to activate them on our trip in June of that year. Of course that didn't happen and I have never activated them. I couldn't use them last spring because it was blackout time. Now we are going at the end of May and I'd like to use them. They are on my MDE. Do I have to switch them to the new system or can I just go ahead and start booking parks?

You should be able to make park reservations since they are linked to MDE. They still need to be activated at WDW before they can be used and at that time they will be converted over to the Sorcerer Pass and the Photo Download option will be included for free.

You can definitely book park reservations now. I’ve done it with mine, no problem

We had a combo of gold and silver that I purchased a long time ago and never activated. We were able to make park reservations and then had to go to guest services to activate them this past weekend. They were amazing and even upgraded the silver to sorcerer pass for free!
