Hi everyone,

I thought I once read a thread about these old paper A, B, C, D, and E tickets still being usable, but can't seem to find the thread. Is my memory right or wrong?

Thanks!

Does it still have the admission ticket? If so you can exchange you piece of history for a park hopper.

If they are in good condition, you could make more money by selling them on ebay and then buying your ticket to DLR.

I still cringe when I think about how many were thrown out when my dad moved and cleaned out the office desk drawer while I was gone. :faint:

Thanks for the replies. I'll have to ask my friend when I see her next. My guess is that the admission ticket has been used though since they are from a trip from her childhood. Will be exciting to see what they look like!

I had a ton of A and B tickets, and some C tickets, and I was able to use them at face value to get my pass to the parks. I was able to get in for "free" five times, but not sure if they are still accepted today.

The tickets had a value (10 cents for A tickets, etc.) and I was able to apply the value of the tickets to my pass those days.

Good luck.

An admission ticket would still be usable but the A-E ride tickets have no use at DLR. Probably worth more as a collectors item anyways.

I bought an entire book with the front admission ticket still attached on ebay for $10 (I know...right) so basically, I could go into the park for $10.

They only redeem the tickets for a DL ticket, not a park hopper though.

however...I'm keeping mine.

DD12 has an E ticket that someone gave her one trip. We were pin trading with a guy who was sharing some trivia with the girls, he pulled the E ticket out of his pin bag and offered it to DD12, I thought DD15 was going to die from envy. lol We have the ticket in a baggie, she plans to keep it, I was thinking it would be fun to find a set of the pins that are the tickets and frame them all together. :)

This sure goes back in time. I remember those tickets and anytime I referred to something exciting in my life I always stated that the was an E ticket. If I recall correctly, those were for the great rides.

So basically they're not worth admission if the actual old admission ticket is not attached, correct?

Also, even though it was only good for a DL ticket, which makes sense, would they allow you to upgrade that ticket?

It must have the admission ticket, to exchange for a park ticket.

You can upgrade, but like with other upgrades you upgrade from what you paid.

Thanks Skiing! Good to know...

So how do they figure price on a ticket that old? Do they actually go by face value listed on the ticket, which could mean just a few bucks?

Thanks! I don't actually have one, I am just intrigued. I did see on ebay there are tons of old booklets, but rarely see the main gate admission attached. Obviously that makes sense since people had a ton of leftover ABCDE tickets, but used the admission. Guess if I do see them in the future and they're cheap, should snatch em up!
