old 8mm flim

friend of mine says he has got an old 8mm flim of mickey mouse says mickey has hands not gloves and a projector for it to play on any idea of value?

I really don't know. It would be fascinating to look at though. Anyone out there have any guesses at all?

I consulted my trusty "Tomart- Volume 2" and looked under "Films, Slides and Viewers". Keep in mind, Tomart only covers U.S. licensees. However, none of the box examples show Mickey with hands- they all show the gloves.

Films do not have much value to collectors because they are brittle and usually break apart when they run through the projector. There is a very limited market for film boxes in good shape with the film inside.

Try putting the 8mm film to vcr tape or dvd. Maybe you can sell some copies on ebay for those who are interested.

He should have sold it then. I don't think it's worth much, but I'm not an expert.
