ok -
I have our tix from our last trip
2 - 7 day park hopper plus passes (10+)
and 1 - 7 day (3-9)

I don't even REMEMBER what is left on them - and there are no phone 3's to call listed on them...

We are going down in a month and a half for 4 nights and I THINK there are enough days on those for us adults -
heres the glitches -
dd is 10 now,
DS who was not quite two last trip is four now and we have a new baby (irrelavant unless they changed their policy)
SO how do upgrade tix, and what tix do I buy for the 4 year old???
:wizard: TIA for sharing your wisdom oh wise Dissers!

I believe you can only check remaining days at guest relations at any of the parks. They can upgrade your 10 year old's child pass to an adult pass at no charge. You would have to purchase a child's pass for the 4 year old. The baby is free.

Step 1 (at Guest Relations) Find out both the quantity of days/plusses and the trade up value of each of the passes. Don't do any trade yet.

Step 2 (at Guest Relations) Exchange the child pass at no cost for an adult pass. This preserves unused plusses also but does not increase the trade up value.

Step out of line

If you have enough days, leave Guest Relations, get a ticket for the 4yo, and enter the park. Otherwise...

Step 3 (near Guest Relations) If you don't have enough days, Figure out what all new passes with Non Expiration and Hopping and Plus Pack would cost for everybody. From this you can figure out how many more dollars you must pay to trade up partially used Hopper Plus passes for new passes.

Step 4 (near Guest Relations) If you don't have enough days, figure out how much it will cost to buy new tickets for just the remaining days. You may find that it costs less to buy your 10yo extra days only while it costs less to trade up the other adult passes towards new passes for the entire vacation.

If you have some plusses remaining on the old passes you can reserve a day for Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon only and you won't consume/need a park day off of the passes during that day.

Get back in line and buy/trade as you chose.

Both steps 3 and 4 will result in relatively large "dollar per day" amounts you still need to shell out. If you need to buy new passes for this vacation, a somewhat lower cost per day can be achieved only if you plan yet another vacation in the near or distant future. For this you would either set aside the old passes completely, or trade up to or buy 10 day non-expiring passes.

Ok - gotcha - I think...
If my memory is correct...
we went for ten days -
bought 7 day Park Hopper Plus passes and has four options...

We went to Discovery Cove one day, Sea world and Blizzard beach another ( 1 option) we did MK 2x, Epcot 1x, MG 1x, and AK 1x, and nothing really the first and last day - therefore I should have 1 hopper day per pass as well as 3 options -
We HAVE to go to Magic Kingdom of course
and I am thinking of adding another day at another park yet to be determined - but if my math is correct then I am looking at $500 in tix to get the 4 year old 2 days and 3 of us one day - no hopping.
Also on our passes I just realizeh that it says ONE VISIT to blizzard beach - so can we not go there again :( especailly where Typhoon Lagoon is closed anyways! :confused3

...er, two things...first, when I add up the days you went to the parks and the day you went to BB it comes to only 5 park days and 1 option day...therefore you should have 2 park days and 3 options left from a 7 day PHP with 4 options...or did I miss something? You did say you went for 10 days, did nothing much on the 1st and last days and then only accounted for 7 days (unless you went to BB one whole day and Sea World one whole day...then it adds up right).

Also...I'm pretty sure you can use your 4 plus options wherever you want, be it 4x at BB, or 4x at TL or 4x at PI or 4x at WWofSports..or any combo...in other words even if you went to BB already, you can still go there again if you wish...it's entirely up to you where you want to use those options.

With the plusses (plus pack on MYW) you can visit the plus venues in any combination, repetition, or order up to the number of visits on your pass.

Examples:
Blizzard Beach in the afternoon, come back the next morning: Uses two plusses.

Just Blizzard Beach in the morning, Typhoon Lagoon in the afternoon: Uses zero days and two plusses.

You said you would be there for 4 nights. How many days?

YOu may save money by having one person use up the old passes and everybody else get new passes.

If you don't have enough days left for the 2 adults, I would have 1 adult use the leftover days on both passes, and buy a new admission ticket for the other adult. That also allows you to use the leftover plusses.

Oops..I see that Seashore already covered that!
