We were at Disney in December 2014. Was reading another thread about Magic Bands and decided to go into MDE and deactivate my Bands. I noticed that the two park tickets we used on our trip were both showing as active. They were 5 day Hoppers. I would have thought the system would have deleted them long ago. Anyone have any ideas?

Tickets? Or cards?

Cards work just like bands and can remain in your account indefinitely. There have been some reports of "phantom" tickets sticking around. If that's the case, try to make some FP+ reservations with them to see if they're still valid admission.

They were credit card style tickets. I thought they would have been deleted as they were supposed to only be good for 14 days from first use. I'll try making a reservation with them as see what happens.

Just tried and its no longer a valid ticket.

If you are seeing them in the 'MagicBands & Cards' section, those are the RFID Admission Cards that the tickets were issued on. You could actually reuse these cards if you link valid park admission in the future. RFID Admission Cards function much like MagicBands except they lack the long range transmitter. The long range transmitter in MagicBands is used for automatic link of pictures to your photopass account, interactive queue elements (if they ever turn them on) and possibly crowd tracking for statistical purposes.

Every AP I've had since the tapstiles started, is still showing as active. As is every mb and room card. I think they remain active until you mark them otherwise.

Valid tickets are listed in the My Reservations area of the MDE app.

Used hard ticket "cards" as erionm explained are basically just "hardware" in your MagicBands and Cards section.

Good to know. I thought they just would have deleted them after the 14 day period was up. We never actually used the physical card as we had linked our tickets to the MagicBands. So if I were to get an E-ticket from a vendor (Undercover T) and link that E-ticket to my RFID Card I would be able to use it to get into the park?

Yes, because it links directly to all the data in that specific MDE Profile (person).

Sometimes if you call the MDE help line, they can clean up old things from your account if you ask them to.
