Looks to be the Nassau day both.

I assume there are variables. We got off the Wish last week. The Royal Gathering was on Castaway Cay day for our three night cruise, though I think it was added after the first was booked solid. On the following four night sailing, Royal Gathering was on our Nassau day.

You need a reservation for both.
Olaf's Picnic is for families with children only against payment. No adults only parties are allowed. Children 13-17 pay adult prices (and probably do not get the goodie bag)

The royal gathering is free, but a reservation is required.
