Can anyone give me some information on this resort? The search feature won't work for me:confused3 There must be someone who has stayed at this resort. The CM suggested this for my family and felt it was closer to Epcot than SSR. (no 2 bedrooms are available at BC, BDWLK or WL during my dates)

definitely love it!

what do you want to know?

We stayed in a 2 bedroom at OKW several years ago and we loved it. They are the largest Villas on property and it is noticeably larger than the others. The 2nd bedroom also has 2 Queen beds, not 1 bed and a double sofa bed.
This was better for us.
We loved the themeing, the peace and quiet, the views from our balcony and being able to park right at the door.
Having the fully stocked kitchen was great, even though we didn't cook any full meals in.
We had a unit with a second entry into the bathroom through the laundry. Since DD was sleeping on the pull out couch, this was very helpful. I would request this, since some of the earliest buildings do not have the second entry.
Have a Great Trip

My family prefers OKW over all other DVC villas. Why? They like the extra space that the 2 br has over the others. It has a full size dining table that will seat 6 easily where the other DVC resorts do not. The balcony will also hold more people. We often played cards on the balcony, there was enough room out there to do that (the others have a balcony that will seat 2).

There's a private feel there and the way the entrances are set up, plus the arrangement of the buildings, you don't "feel" your neighbors. You do not walk down long hallways to your door. There's lots of mature landscaping that lends itself to that privacy feeling.

After a day at the parks, it was so nice to come back to what felt like an oasis.

It has the best feeling of being at home than any other resort. Comfortable because it is so roomy. Quiet. Nice theming without being in your face. Easy bus ride to anywhere. Or you can take a boat to DTD.

My husband and his friend just stayed there last month. Our family will be going home in June.

Check over on the DVC Boards to find out more about OKW.

Wow! Sounds like a great place for a large family. I was looking at the map and wasn't sure which buildings were closest to the "main pool"? Is it the pool near the check in? Does anyone have recommendations as to which buildings I should request to be near the main pool and the place where you refill your mugs?

There are three other pools at OKW. The Turtle Pond pool is another nice pool and it has the Turtle Shack located there - light snacks and beverages. And when you get a villa at OKW, you have a rather nice sized refrigerator so you can stock up on all your own beverages and forget about the refillable mug which just isn't as convenient as some other resorts. Everything larger than a studio at OKW even has an ice maker in the refrigerator. All the others just have ice cube trays.
