OKW Waitlist Question

We are planning a trip next April and booked at SSR and we hope to switch the ressie to OKW at our 7 month mark.

Does OKW fill up quickly 7 months out? We have never switched resorts after making our reservations before and are wondering if this will be an easy switch or if we will have to waitlist.

OKW is one of the last resorts to fill up. You can usually get what you want at 7 months with few exceptions (early December for one).

You should be ok. I haven't looked at when Easter is next year, so that might be a conflict with the holiday and schools that are off for that time.

We are thinking Monday - Friday the week after Easter.

OKW is huge like SSR. THey are very close to the same size with SSR slightly larger. They each have over 700 "keys". The week before and after Easter are almost as crazy busy as pre-Christmas to New Year's. I would be on the phone first thing that morning of 7 months out. Good luck! I've been a OKW member for 22 years and it is still one of my favorites!!

I'm in almost the same boat as OP. Booked in at BLT the week after Easter (M-F); hoping to switch to a 2BR lockoff at OKW at the 7 mon. mark. Not really wanting to rush summer, but I wish Sept. would get here so I could know for sure. (If we get the 2BR, we'll ask friends to join us; we're currently booked into a SV studio at BLT.)
