OKW w/DVC Points

Hi Dis!

I had a few questions about DVC at OKW.

We are staying with DVC points from from my boss (we are not dvc members ). I know from others that have DVC that you don't get mousekeeping until the 4th day. We are staying for 2 nights on DVC points and paying for the last night. Does that mean we will get mousekeeping on the 3rd day as if we were checking out and rechecking in (which is what we have to do)??? I'm just curious bc I'm making mousekeeping envelopes and want to know how many to make!!!

Also, what are the hours of the Goods cs? We have never stayed at a resort that didn't have an actual counter service location so I was just curious as to the hours of operation and the quality of the food??

Good's in our family's opinion : not too good. Recommend you go to Downtown Disney, its convenient to OKW and there are better counter serve options (Wolfgang Puck Express, Earl of Sandwich off top of my head). Sorry I'm not certain on hours for Good's, iirc Downtown Dis you should be able to be served until at least 11pm.

On Day 4 of a DVC points stay (counting check-in day as Day 1) you would have received Trash & Towel Service which means mousekeeping would replace all towels, empty trash, replace soap,shampoo, paper products & coffee items as needed & laundry detergent if staying in 1 bedroom or more villa. If your Day 3 cash reservation was made through Member Services by your boss then if I'm not mistaken you will not get mousekeeping on that cash day if you remain in same villa because it is treated as a continuation of the points stay (it's linked to that reservation). (You wouldn't get Trash & Towel because you aren't staying for 4th night ). Of course if on your Day 3 cash stay you are moving to a smaller or larger villa then that villa will be as you expect to find a resort room when you first check-in. If your cash night was booked through Disney's Central Reservation Office (CRO) then I believe mousekeeping will do a full cleaning if you remain in the same villa.

If 3rd night is booked through MS & you are not changing villa size you should be able to remain in the same villa (it's almost certain that you will, but of course nothing is ever 100% guaranteed). And if it was booked through CRO they should note the DVC ressie number and MS likewise should note the CRO ressie number so hopefully you can remain in same villa.

You can get extra towel sets for $6 if needed and if you wanted to pay for a full cleaning by mousekeeping you'd need to notify them the day before and the cost is $30 for studio, $45 for 1 br villa, $60 for 2 br villa & $75 for grand villa. There are extra plastic bags for trash pails & each building location has a trash room if you wish to empty the in room trash.

Thanks for the info! I should have added more details. We're staying in a Studio for the whole time. The first 2 nights on the DVC points and the last night on my CM discount booked through the cast phone number (I'm a seasonal CM). I'm PRAYING we can remain in the same room so I'm going to stop by on Sunday and see if they can put it in the reservations and hope! I was assuming that on day 3 we would have full mousekeeping service bc we have to check out and check in to get my cast ddp cards. I'll have to get started on my mousekeeping envelopes!

Thanks for the food info..I assumed it was the same food as any resort CS but was not sure. We are huge resort mug people so hopefully we have a villa close by!
