OKW vs SSR

Upcoming cousins trip in March. non park trip. 6 of us, just ladies. 2 bedroom standard view in SSR or 2 bedroom in OKW? I know the standards at SSR are near nothing too convenient like the main area or boat launch or spa, and we may or may not have a car.
I also know OKW is also big and there’s no spa, from what I recall it wasn’t too bad of a walk from a distance location to main area. I know there is internal bus service in both resorts.
what’s your opinion, which would you prefer? Tia, Dee

The Grandstand Section at SSR is a Standard Location and is VERY close to the Carriage House (check-in, main dining and shops) and boat launch.

Family has been owners at OKW since 1994 and now we tend to book at SSR for the convenience of being able to walk to/from Disney Springs. Yes - OKW has a great boat ride but sometimes it's nice to walk back/forth on our own schedule. We also like the renovated rooms at SSR.

They both have advantages depending on what you need for your group. If you are using the spa and wanting to go to DS to shop and eat, then I say SSR for sure.
If you want more space and a pretty resort, I say OKW.

Thank you. Can I request the grandstand building? I currently have my 2 bedroom at SSR but see availability at OKW so I was thinking of changing it, but probably won’t. I am waitlisted for a lock off at BWV (home resort) but I don’t imagine it will come through.

We love the refurbished rooms at SSR and if you book the preferred category, the proximity to Disney Springs is fantastic. I happen to like the theming at OKW more, but since the refurbishment, SSR has edged out OKW on our list of where we like to stay.

Yes, you can request Grandstand section. BTW there are four buildings in that section, so you might want to make Grandstand your first request and then building 81 as a second request - of all the Grandstand buildings, it’s the closest to everything.
