OKW vs BWV I am a PITA

I am sorry for all my redundant posts. I am totally torn between OKW and BWV 1 bedroom for my stay. I guess the possibility remains that there won't be any rooms left at BWV anyway. I think they are closed on the weekends for ressies.

My pros for OKW:

parking in front of ur room
DTD boat
HUGE room
quiet and low key

My cons for OKW:

only 1 resturant choice

My pros for BWV:

more resturant choices
more for the kids to do
walk to MGM and Epcot

My cons for BWV:[/COLOR]

smaller room
far from DTD and MK (have to look at map)
too big of a resort
afraid of the unknown LOL

I wouldn't sweat either choice for a stay, they are both wonderful. If you were concerned about a purchase, that would be different. Otherwise flip a coin, dont look back and enjoy your choice.

The best one to answer that question, I'm afraid, is you. Which type of vacation do you prefer? DH absolutely loves OKW, hopes I never "sentence" him to a stay at BWV. DS, on the other hand, just got to stay at BWV, and he thought he was in heaven, MUCH more "his speed" than OKW. Different strokes for different folks (hey, wouldn't those make great words to a song?)!

Show your kids pictures of the two resorts. Ask them which one they'd rather stay at. And then stick with that one.

Being the point miser that I am....the other thing in OKW's favor is it takes fewer points to stay there in a 1BR. Also my kids think there are a lot more activities at the OKW community hall than at BWV...can't comment on that personally since I never do more at Community Hall than check out an occasional movie,,,but they like OKW better for that reason.

But all in all....I would go either place with a big ole grin....and be happy to be there.
If points are an issue go for OKW, if not toss a coin!!

Actually it's only 2 more points for the whole stay.

Yes, the points are the same for an OKW 1 bedroom and a BWV 1 bedroom STANDARD view. Unless you own at BWV, and you're calling at the 11 month window, it's tough to get that standard view. I've gotten it once from a waitlist.

Oh well, so much for my problem.

I called member services and they only have a preferred view 1 bedroom left at BWV and the preferred view puts me over the points that I have to use.

OKW here we come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are going to rent a car for sure now so we can use POR's food court.

I would think driving to the food court would be more trouble than buying groceries and making a few fast things in the huge kitchen! We like to restaurant it all over WDW when we are there, but breakfasts and an occational fast lunch or supper are so easy in the room when I'd rather not go out again.

We LOVE OKW, and also love Olivias. We occationally go to DTD, but food court food is really not my forte.

We LOVE OKW, and also love Olivias. We occationally go to DTD, but food court food is really not my forte.

I love OKW too but we are vegetarians and there is 1 entree that we can eat there. My kids love POR foodcourt and having the option of more choices is nice. We only do breakfast in the room
