OKW View of Epcot Fireworks?

You can only see the top of the very highest fireworks. Most EPCOT fireworks are at lake level and can ot be seen. Really not worth trying. But you will hear the booms at 9pm every night (later during Christmas season because of the Candelight Processional).

But if there are any sort of night launches from Cape Canaveral, as long as it isn't cloudy, you'll have a nice view from OKW.

Yes, as Chuck said, just the very tops. We used to see those tops from buildings 16 and 18 (so I suppose you could from 17 too). Otherwise, our traditional first night was to walk to Gurgling Suitcase, get a drink, sit on a bench by the boat to DTD and watch the Epcot fireworks over the bridge. Know where I mean? The bridge is in the picture below-

I've been at OKW when my husband was running the marathon. I didn't get up early to follow him around WDW and just went to the porch. I could see brightness from the porch and hear the announcer, but not see any of the fireworks. You might see a few here or there, but not like BCV or BLT.

as many times as I went to OKW - never even though of this - thanks!

from bldg 14 - 3rd floor - you can see fireworks but think it is the MK not Epcot. - if you can have a clear view.

We have seen the Epcot fireworks (Illuminations) many times over the years while at OKW. The upper displays are visible from a number of OKW buildings.

Here is a satellite view showing the relationship of OKW to the World Showcase Lagoon. Some of the villas in Buildings 16, 19, 23, 24, 25,27, 28, 29, 31, 32, 38, 39, 40, 41, 47, 48, 49 and 62 will have at least a glimpse of Illuminations from upper balconies. As Simba's Mom suggests, there are other areas at trhe resort where you can see the upper displays even if not directly from a balcony.

Here is a map of OKW showing the building locations. You can see the number of buildings with a look towards the fireworks at Epcot.

Enjoy! :)

I was actually quite surprised one night when I happen to see a pretty good display from the bridge in betwwen buildings 26 and 62! I think it might be the bridge shown above.

As Chuck S noted, if there are any night launches from Canaveral, they are truly spectacular - but even daytime launches are something to catch.

Here are two photos we took from OKW (Building 13) of the launch of the Atlantis on 6/08/2007.

Yes, that's the one! And if it's fairly quiet and you listen closely, you might even faintly hear a little music (or was that just my imagination?)
