OKW Turtle Shack Pool Closed

Just to let everyone know the Turtle Shack Pool is closed for remodeling as of 05-11-09. Not sure when to reopen I'll try to check in later

The pool is closed at Turtle Pond or the snack shack is closed?

It is the Pool and turtle snack shack that are closed. I asked a CM near by, how long is it closed for her reply was when their finished. Not very informative.

So much for the schedule according to dvcnews. The Miller Road pool was to be closed for tile replacement 5/4 - 5/15 and the Turtle Pond was to be retiled 5/18 - 5/29. We arrive this Thursday so i won't be requesting Turtle Pond area.

I spoke to the construction crew, he said it should take 2 weeks. They are changing tiles and reglazing the entire pool. They also have dug up the spa/tub as well. I think miller is scheduled later. Sorry for the bad news. Front desk isn't even letting the people know upon check in. Have a great trip

So much for the schedule according to dvcnews. The Miller Road pool was to be closed for tile replacement 5/4 - 5/15 and the Turtle Pond was to be retiled 5/18 - 5/29. We arrive this Thursday so i won't be requesting Turtle Pond area.

We checked in on 5/4 and were told the Miller Road pool would close on 5/11. We used it all week, until 5/8. BTW, they had to ask 3 CMs for this info, the first 2 didn't know anything about the pool closing. But they assigned us to the Miller Road area, so we wanted to check on the pool closing. So you might want to double-check on check-in. On the reverse side, we had friends in building 62, who came back to their villa to find workmen removing siding, hammering, sawing, etc. However, several different CMs told them on their phone call that "I'm sorry, but no work is being done on that building." They finally convinced a manager to come over and check when they said that if that was the case, someone was stealing their building little by little.
