OKW to DD

staying our 1st 2 nights on our upcoming trip at OKW. I've heard you can walk to downtown disney. how long of a walk?

I am not sure how long - there is a post from Caskbill I believe with the exact GPS mileage - the path is somewhere around Building #55 in South Point

Yep, takes about 10 minutes from building 55. It depends on where at DTD you are headed. If you are going to the CDS end, you turn right through a small protion of the golf course to the parking lot of CDS. If you are going to the other end of DTD, you turn left over the bridge and end up near the dock.

Until SSR opens, you can't really walk to the Marketplace area of DD without just walking thru DD entirely. The area is entirely blocked off due to the construction.

Once the resort opens, it may be possible to access the Marketplace end of DD. Right now there are signs prohibiting foot traffic over the golf cart bridge between OKW and the SSR area.
