OKW/SSR for spring break at 7 month window

Well, it's official. We have switched our 2010 summer trip to a spring break trip. We made our reservation at our home resort (AKV) to make sure we're at least guaranteed a room, but our hope is to switch to SSR or OKW at the 7 month window. I have read that these two resorts are generally the last to fill up, but I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts on what our odds might be.

Anyone ever made reservations for spring break at the 7 month window and been shut out?

I would be very surprised if you are unable to switch to either OKW or SSR at the 7 month window - even if your spring break falls on one of the weeks surrounding Easter.

For the best chance, be sure to call as soon as MS opens for the day on the first day your window opens.

I've booked Sun-Fri Spring Break trips at 7 months out for the past 4 years and have not been shut out yet. In fact, 2 of the stays (2007 and 2008) were at the hard-to-book BWV Standard View Studios. The other years, we've had a 1-BR at BCV (2006) and a Studio at SSR (2009). You should be perfectly fine, especially if OKW and SSR are your first two choices and if you call the morning your booking window opens. Good luck!

OKW and SSR are the largest resorts, I cannot imagine you will have an issue.
