OKW Room View info. Please

Have reservation for 1 bedroom (1st time) usually get a studio.
Have requested 1st floor due injured knee or top flloor elevator.
Can someone tell me which rooms have nice views of golf .
Also can you see any fireworks from OKW?????

You can see the Illuminations fireworks from many areas at OKW. You will see only the highest displays. If you can't see them from your balcony, just go outside and look towards Epcot (you will definitely be able to hear the fireworks).

In my opinion, there are some great golf course views from the following buildings(with hole number):

53, 52, 51 (3); 47,48(4); 25, 27, 37(5); 17, 16(6): 63, 64(7); and 11, 12, 13(8).

you will probably not get the elevators - they don't want people who have problems to get the elevators - just in case of any emergency and the elevators were shut down.

because of the much bigger patios in a 1-bedroom - you will probably still get a great view - I love building 55 and 18 - for water views.

make sure when you reservation your villa or when you make the call for a request that you mention your knee - so that you can say for health reasons.

If not they made put on on the third floor in a building w/o an elevator.

Also although these are not guaranteed - see if the front desk can't find you a wheelchair - not to use - but to push - it was a great help to me after my knee surgery - it helped me kept my balance - and mother has demanded one since..... I was walking normally after my visit to WDW - best physical therapy there is.....

Many of the first floor balconies are almost completely covered with foliage, you might want to stick with a room in one of the 3 buildings that have elevators or else maybe ask for a 1 st fl room without a lot of foliage but I do not know how the front desk CM would know this.
OKW is almost completely surrounded by a golf course so many of the balconies have a view of the golf course. The golf course is not real wide it just is very winding all around the resort. I was surprised at how narrow the golf course is, I expected something much different.
You can see the higher fireworks from Illuminations off in the distance in certain areas but it definitely loses alot of the experience being that far away. If you really want to enjoy Illuminations go to Epcot to get the full effect or to one of the Epcot resorts if you don't want to use a park admission and still want a decent view of the fireworks.

Add building 15 to the prior posters list. 6th tee, I think? I was in 1510 once and it was a nice view although like most studios, is getting very overgrown with the foliage. One reason why I don't want studios at OKW anymore.

Also had a great view of the space shuttle taking off at 6:30am (this was in May 2000)

If you are thinking of requesting by building - remember that the ones with the GVs in them have fewer 1brs and studios so you have less chance of getting into them (apparently if you arrive late!)

I beg to differ ... For the past few years I have requested non-smoking first floor both for medical reasons. However, the last trip I added first floor or elevator buidling. I rent an ECV from an off site company, so I hve the ECV at OKW also. I had a WONDERFUL one bedroom unit on third floor of building 64. The doctor has said I shouldn't do stairs & as a general rule, I do not. However, if there were an emergency, I would make my way down the stairs. I feel that it is my decision to make.

from our room in building 64 we did havea golf course view - also woods behind the hole & a small pond with a water fountain - we could not have asked for a better view. Our tip was very relaxing!!
