OKW Room Requests

This will be our first time staying at OKW in April. We are staying in a studio. Can anyone help with suggestions in regards to room requests? I see they have listed 4 different road requests but not sure if that really matters much. We will be renting a car and driving to the parks for the most part. Any advise would be appreciated.

I really like Turtle Pond area; there is a laundry room at the quiet pool, and the Turtle Shack for drinks and snacks.

I liked our stay in the Turtle Pond area as well. Having a car makes life a lot easier at OKW! You can usually park right at your door....or pretty close.

Since you have a car, I would suggest Turtle Pond area as well. We really like it back there. Its quiet

IF you have a car without a doubt Turtle Pond. Like others have said it is pretty quiet, There is a large pool with a snack stand available. You can refill your mugs there if you have them.

All trips but 1 i have stayed at Turtle Pond and I prefer it.

Turtle Pond is our favorite (with or without a car!) Great views, lovely pool and snack bar, near tennis courts if you play. Bus stop close and you can walk to HH easily. Or take the bus from Turtle Pond and walk to the Peninsula Road stop to get back. It is quiet and peaceful. As a 24+ year member (Even though this is the 25th Anniversary the 25th year does not begin until this fall ) we have stayed near HH on our first visit (buildings were only open through the Peninsula road area) Turtle Pond (our favorite) and South Point. South Point we managed to stay twice in the same villa. On our last stay in South Point we were in a 2 BR HA villa with the rest of the family in a 3 BR HA GV-the only GV in OKW that is on the ground floor! But my first choice is always Turtle Pond. In the middle of the resort, quiet and yet has much to offer.

Remember that the Turtle Shack is only open seasonally. So they might not be open first thing in the morning and close late in the afternoon. I've seen their hours (when they were open) from 11 to 5.

Another vote for Turtle Pond Road. My favorites were 37 and 43.

The area - by the road; high floor or ground floor; close to transportation; close to elevator (but only three buildings have elevators); canal view; fairway view; dual bathroom entrance (that would be buildings 30 and higher - so Turtle Pond or South Point).

If you didn't book Hospitality House (those are the closest), try for Peninsular Road. It is right across the bridge (a short walk) from the pool.
