Okay we are staying at OKW for the first time on July 19th for 8 nights. I requested "near HH" do you think we should ask for a particular bldg??? We have three kids but they are not iddy biddy. Just curious?? Thanks. How many floors are in each bldg. We are a in a 2br. THANKS.

No - I would not request a specific building. If you already have a HH guarantee you will be placed in a building "near" Hospitality House - buidlings 11-14, 23-26. If you have little ones, you might request a ground floor location to minimize stairs, but otherwise you already have a villa in one of those 8 buildings.

Have a great stay! :)

Because we have 3 cash nights there too...we are not in the guaranteed HH booking class......so we just put near HH. Our kids are 17,14 and 9 so we don't need a first floor.

If you have cash nights - then I would not make any request other than near HH since you might be more likely to have to move.

In this case, I might even ask to be taken off the ""HH" guarantee and make the request that the cash and points reservations be linked together so you will not need to move. I would suggest, in that situation, requesting "near South Point" or "near Turtle Pond". Those are general areas (not near HH) and would likely have a higher chance of being met for all 8 days of your stay.

Good luck! If at all possible, I'd try to avoid the need to move. :)

Ok, then - your reservation is set for you to NOT be "near the HH". Since your points nights cannot be "near the HH" since you aren't booked in that category, if they put you in there for your cash nights you'd have to move. If they put you in a non "near the HH" cash room, then you'll stay there for your points nights too & not have to move. Just drop the "near the HH" request & you'll be fine. From any building in OKW just hop on the next bus & it'll take you to the HH. Going back, just walk across the street to the Peninsular Road bus stop and take any bus back to your building's bus stop. Or, since the kids are not little, just walk - it's a lovely resort for walking!

Okay I asked for the HH AREA when I first booked months ago and she said because of the cash nights she could not give me HH guaranteed section because of cash so she said "I will put on your ressie to be near HH". She also said they were all linked so I would not have to move. So is there not an area near HH that is not in the guaranteed sections???

We were at OKW in September on an II exchange, so we were not in the guaranteed "near the HH" section, but we were still near HH. We were in a dedicated two-bedroom. When I called Member Services, I asked to be near HH but when I checked in they had us in another section but were able to move us pretty easily. We ended up in on the 1st floor of Building 64. It was very pretty. We had a view of the golf course with a pond with a fountain right outside our balcony. I think you should be fine. There are several buildings that I would consider near HH that are not in the guaranteed booking area. Ours was a very short walk to HH which is the last bus stop before the parks and was close enough to the Peninsular Road stop (the first stop in) to walk back to our room from there. Have a nice trip!

First, from what I remember for the most part there are three floors to the buildings at OKW. (Some have wings that are 2 floors). The only other item to consider is if someone sleeps on the sofa sleeper in the living room, they will not have a direct access to a bathroom in buildings 1-29. They will need to use a bathroom in one of the bedrooms. Buildings 30 and above do have a bathroom access through the laundry room, similiar to what you had when you stayed at SSR. Sounds like we will be there at the same time. July 19th is our last of 6 nights at OKW, then home to SSR for another 5.

Bldgs 27 to 29 are across the canal from HH, and share the bus stop with 23 to 26, which are in the "near HH" class. However, 27 to 29 also have (IMO) the worst balcony views of any OKW buildings. Not that any are "awful" but they are very wooded, somewhat cluttered views, of shrubbery with the golf course beyond. Bldg 15 and 16 would also be good choices to be close to HH without being in that bookng category.

All OKW building are either 2 or three floors tall.

Bldgs 62 to 64 are also close to HH, but may be unavailable to you at check-in as they are also the only bldgs with elevators, and are often used for medical mobility needs guests.

Besides the HH buildings already mentioned, there are quite a few that I consider to be "near" HH. Buildings 15,16, 17, 18, 27, 28, 29, 62, 63 and 64 are all, IMO, "near" HH. All are within about 300 yards of HH and 62-64 also have elevators. I would still not request any specific buildings though.

If your kids are older, I would also be happy with the Old Turtle Pond area - which has a nice pool and snack bar - or the South Point area, with another pool and quick access to the walkway to DD and SSR.

Regardless, I'm sure you'll have a great stay! :)
