OKW Room preference question?

Does anyone have the fax number for OKW? I want to fax in my room request, as I have heard that this the best way to possibly get the area I would like to be in (Near the Turtle Shack). Thank you in advance!

DVC resorts have notified DVC members to not fax room requests as they will not be considered. You can call the reservation line (or Member Services if you are a DVC member) and have them add your room request to your reservation.

If you booked through Disney Reservation Center, you need to call them and add your request that way. DVC resorts do not accept faxes.

Really? Because I faxed in a request via TP at CC and my exact room request was granted. I was never notified not to fax in requests. MS has told me either way works
