OKW room location

I would love to hear opinions on the best room locations at okw. We did not book a HH location room so those are out but would like to know thoughts on a room further away from HH.

There are two families traveling together with kids (a couple still in strollers) and we will both have a car. Is there any particular building number/section you would recommend and why?

Personally I like and only stay in the Turtle Pond area. Its much quieter area of the resort and the pool still has a snack and drink stand.

i've never had a canal view but the pics look nice.

i like being back away from the bus stops...such as in bldg 49.

We like South Pointe, in the cul de sac buildings 54-56. There is a quiet pool there, and some of the rooms overlook the canal. That is the first bus stop in the morning.

We prefer the Turtle Pond area of OKW. We usually request building 35 because it is convenient to the bus stop, but far enough away that you don't get a lot of noise from it. Its also a short walk to the quiet pool.

at OKW, only bldgs 62-64 have elevators. and those are often reserved for medical issues.

requesting a ground floor villa is a good option.

When I've stayed at OKW, I request turtle pond, water view, first floor. My favorites were 31, 37 & 43. Not so happy with 40, we got second floor and it was close to the road (noise).

We'll be there in 9 days and we requested building 27. Our first stay at OKW was in1997 and I asked this same question and someone reccommended building 27. 15 years later and anytime we stay st OKW, we request building 27. It's close to the Peninsular Rd bus stop, not too far from HH and pool, has a really pretty golf course view, and Illuminations can be seen from the 3rd floor. Hopefully, we'll be back in building 27 for this trip also!

From looking at OKW maps and taking the boat from DTD or to DTD from OKW I have always thought that buildings 45 and 46 look the best with a close behind building 55. Hoping to get one of these buildings with canal view in Dec.

I'm curious too. My son and I will be making our first stay at OKW this summer in a non HH studio. I'm guessing our main non-park activity will be swimming.
