OKW Room Location?

We will be staying in a 2 bedroom in 2 weeks any suggestions on best location?

Will you have a car? I like the Turtle Pond Road area but it is some distance from the main building/pool. If you don't have a car and want to be near the main area, request close to the hospitality house.

I was just in bldg 33 on Old Turtle pond Road. #3331 to be exact. Very close to bus stop. Nice View and close to quiet pool. Only down side to this unit was it was on the 3rd floor and bldg does not have an elevator. I would stay in this bldg again. We could see some of the high fireworks from Epcot from the balcony. Unit was clean and in good condition. This is a dedicated 2 bdroom unit. Non smoking.

It is all very personal as to what any individual is going to consider a great location and great view or whatever. We have stayed in all parts of OKW with the exception of Old Turtle Pond, and I have yet to be dissapointed in any of the locations. Each has some pros and cons, like any other hotel or timeshare unit.

My personal preferences for BEST buildings I've stayed in at OKW are building 55, 56, 52, 45, 46, 21 and 13. I have stayed in many more, and the two I liked least were 64 (no parking lot) and 29, but that was because we were on the 1st floor under a GV, and we had a bunch of very noisey people above us. Best views, in my opinion, are 46, 55, and 21. Bear in mind that I have not stayed at Turtle Pond, so have no real experience with those views.

We were a little hung up on views the first time we went. We ended up overlooking a pond and it was nice. People had told me in advance that there aren't really many "bad" views. I would say this is probably true. You might think about requesting near HH or near pool if that's important, and/or request a view of golf course, pond, or woods, depending on what appeals to you. I have heard some of the woods views are more highway-ish because some trees have been lost due to hurricanes.


We are looking forward to going next month and are going sort of pot-luck on the view since I think most anything would be really nice.

That's exactly what we do too! I used to always request "South Point", but now I just take what I get. I usually get near HH, even though I never have requested that. I think it might be because we rarely need the second door to the bathroom.

We love being closer to the HH so we like buildings 11-13 and 23-25.
I also love 23-25 because Peninsular road is the first stop. our next trip is only days away!!!!!! OKW-here we come!!!!!!

There are no bad locations at OKW. all are a short walk to a pool and bus stop. It is a nice walk from from anywhere at OKW to HH.

We just stayed at Bldg 14 just across from the HH. We really liked it there. It wasn't noisy it was close to everything. Bldgs. 11-13 are in the same area. I'd request again in a heartbeat, but I am sure anywhere is a great location.

Our favorite (so far. Hope to do lots of comparisons) is building #15. Convenient to HH, yet far enough away to be very quiet.

Our favorite area use to be South Point. But one stay in the Turtle Pond area changed our mind fast. We are not full pledged Turtle Pond fans. It was the peace and quiet along with the views that we fell in love with.

Stayed last two times in the SouthPoint area which I loved (but you should know that the FIRST time I was assigned the South Point location, I had requested CLSOE TO HH! Our SouthPOint unit was absolutely the farthest we could POSSIBLY have been from HH!!! We ended up loving that location though and requested it next time (and got it)). I am headed to OKW again in Nov. and this time only asked for NS for medical reasons...curious to see where I end up without requesting certain views, certain floors, proximity to bus stop, pool, etc.
