OKW Renovation?

I thought I had read a while back that OKW was being renovated. Does anyone know if this is true, and if so, the completion schedule and what they are actually doing?

Any info is appreciated.

I read this on AOL's travel site:

The Old Key West Village Pool Slide will be closed for refurbishments from January 5 through January 23, 2009. For Guest enjoyment, Old Key West Village Pool will continue to operate during this timeframe; only the Pool Slide will be closed. The other pools at Disney's Old Key West will also be open for enjoyment.

In the villas, they are swapping out the mattresses with newer pillowtop mattresses. They are swapping out the old sleeper sofa with the newer kind without the bar. The stove top is being swapped out with a ceramic type top. Other than the stove top, they look exactly the same. They do a building at a time.

From what I have read, even the refurbished villas do not LOOK very different (i.e the changes/upgrades are subtle) however, I would LOVE to be in one that has newer mattresses when we stay at a GV in October. Does anyone know which #s are most likely to have been refurbished? I love the SouthPoint area so still may prefer to be there, even if those are NOT the newest interiors, but I am just curious as I have not seen anything definitive on OKW villa refurbishments. THANKS!
