OKW question...

We are leaving a few short days for our first stay at OKW... Can you tell me what kind of amenities to expect in the studio... I know we will have a small fridge and microwave... but is there anything else we need to know about? Do we need to bring soap, shampoo, etc?

There will be sample sized/motel sized bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body lotion, as well as soap. There will be enough coffee to make one pot. This will all be replenished on trash & towel and full housekeeping days.

Studios also have coffee pots and toasters, paper plates and bowls, plastic silverware and real glasses and coffee mugs (look in the cabinet over the sink/microwave )

If you need additional, or don't care for the particular products they supply, there is an additional selection for purchase at the General Store, next to the check-in area.

You will also find a hairdryer, iron and ironing board, corkscrew and can opener.

I think the biggest surprises are no W/D though there are community ones on site that are FREE, by the quiet pools sat OKW. And that while there are glasses and mugs, there are no other items such as plates and silverware and no cooking vessels at all. Some have reported being able to get such items but I wouldn't count on it. The paper plates/plastic utensils are just enough for 1 day. Some have also reported being able to get extras but again, not something I'd count on. If these issues are important, call the resort directly and talk to a manager recording their name if they give you a favorable response.
