I can't answer anyone else but myself, but I could not care less if they end pool hopping. When I bought into the DVC there was only one resort. I have never, in 12 years, pool hopped anywhere on the property. I bought into DVC to stay at what is now known as OKW, and was happy with the purchase without the pool slide or any other DVC resorts in the collection. Don't get me wrong, it is great to have those options. But if I could only stay at OKW and nowhere else, or never pool hop anywhere, it would not upset me at all.
Just seconding this idea.

I too think it signals the end of pool hopping, but it wont bother me.

At this point, I hope it does, personally.

Oh, I am SURE that they would find SOMETHING.. LOL!

Desperado - big shift - then it was about 70 to 80% against it - even in the poll that was done here.

So maybe DVC knows what it is doing and has asked members - just none that this site knows about.

Great point. Thank you for sharing. Some of us got pretty beaten up in another thread when we suggested the polls had changed, and there might be a difference now given the end of pool hopping at SAB.

I voted no and I am 57 years old. We go to OKW for the relaxing laid-back feeling. Our visits are really to get away from the rat race we live in. We love children and are not "old fogies", but I think we will miss the serenity we find at the main pool. I hope that they enlarge the pool and I suppose that they will now need to have lifeguards. One reason we don't stay at BWV is because the pool is so crowded and noisey. Hope it works out well.

I voted no but don't really care one way or the other. We bought into the Vacation Club in 92 (name changed to OKW in 95 I think). Never once did it occur to me while purchasing our points that there was no slide at the main pool (if I remember right it was the only pool open at that time the rest were under construction). Who cared about slides, we could go over to SAB anytime we wanted and it was never crowded or River Country and Typhoon Lagoon but the main selling point to us were the free tickets until 2000.A Grand Villa every year netted 6 tickets for our length of stay. In 92 they said they were going to build more resorts in the future, again who cared we had a great place to stay, large rooms, park in front of your timeshare and new parks and rides to be opening every few years. When they opened the BWV in 96 I did not hear anyone give a reason for buying at BWV because of the slide at the pool. Ditto for WL, BCV. Too much to do at WDW to worry about a slide at a pool where there may be at any given time a few hundred people.
