That is a very small amount of points not a lot.

I realize it is a small amount but was still curious as to where they came from and why they are doing this since it seems that there are always people posting about buying at sold out resorts and being on wait lists for points at some of them.

Dang! We, too, own at SSR and stayed recently (end of January/beginning of February) at OKW. We liked it so much we're in negotiations for a private sale of a small contract at OKW.

Wish we had received that e-mail - especially if we get ROFR'd on the small contract!

Any details that you would care to relate on what's available: minimum points purchase, cost, etc?

The cost is $92 a point with minimum 25 points. In my case the UY is Aug. You might call your guide and inquire about availability. I doubt the offer is limited to only those people who got the email. Good luck with the contract you are currently trying for.

I got an email about points available at VWL for our use year. I called and they only have 1300 points available for Dec use year. It is $92/point but they told me the price is going up to $95/point on 3/31/06.
Minimum of 25 points to add on... 25-49 cash sale and 50-up you can finance through Disney.

Okay -- I was starting to get upset that I didn't receive the OKW email as I also own there and have actually been considering an add-on. I was just getting ready to call my guide when I remembered that DVC is not licensed to sell anything other than SSR in the state where I live. Now it all makes sense! This may also be the reason some of you aren't receiving any correspondence regarding point availabilty at the various DVC resorts.
