OKW point availability

I have been a member since 1992 and, after purchasing eight contracts, I can say that DVC has never had the inventory of OKW points readily available that they had when I picked up 50 points yesterday. They did cost $92 a point unlike the original 230 I bought at $52, but that is another story.)

This morning I was able to bank the fifty points and extend my OKW Grand Villa reservation in January and February of 2007 to eight days by using the 11 month window using the 2005, 2006, and 2007 OKW points.(150 points).

I think the OKW Grand Villa is one of the best values in the DVC. Makes me wish more of my 550 points were at OKW.

We just picked up 50 points at Boardwalk yesterday afternoon and were told that they (DVC) had had 872 points available yesterday morning. (Guess that's why those contracts disappear into ROFR.) We had expected to be placed on a waitlist and were trying to figure out if we could possibly convince them to lock in the current rate for waitlisted points.

Here's hoping that our small resale contract at OKW makes it through the process, or we'll be back on the telephone with our guide. Rather wish we knew the ROFR decision by today so that we could take advantage of the lower point price if necessary, but it's only been two weeks.
